SustainRecruit Supports OVERT STEM Awards 2026 to Champion Diversity and Inclusion in STEM

SustainRecruit, part of TXM Group, is proud to support the OVERT STEM Awards 2026, helping underrepresented talent gain greater access to recognition, professional networks and career opportunities across the STEM sector.
Talent exists in every community, but access to opportunities is not always equal. For many individuals pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), industry connections, visibility and professional recognition can play an important role in career development.
At SustainRecruit, we believe that creating a more inclusive workforce starts with recognising potential and opening doors for talented individuals from all backgrounds.
As part of TXM Group, we’re pleased to support the OVERT STEM Awards 2026 by sponsoring tickets for individuals from underrepresented communities who may otherwise be unable to attend.
What Are the OVERT STEM Awards 2026?
Taking place on 3 November 2026 in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, the OVERT STEM Awards celebrate individuals and organisations making meaningful contributions across science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Founded by Meena Chander, OVERT stands for Open, Visible, Empower, Represent and Transform. The initiative aims to increase the visibility of STEM talent, promote diversity and inclusion, and strengthen connections between businesses, education, academia and communities across the Oxford–Cambridge Growth Corridor.
The 2026 awards will bring together more than 50 finalists and members of the wider STEM community to recognise achievements, celebrate innovation and encourage greater representation across the industry.
Beyond the awards themselves, the event provides an opportunity for attendees to connect with industry professionals, build valuable relationships and explore future career pathways.
Supporting Diversity and Inclusion in STEM
Building a more diverse and inclusive STEM workforce requires more than recognising barriers. It also means taking practical steps to create greater access to opportunities.
Through this sponsorship, SustainRecruit and the wider TXM Group are helping make the OVERT STEM Awards more accessible to individuals who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend.
Paul Minns, Principal Client Partner at SustainRecruit, specialising in Statement of Work and Resource Augmentation, also serves as a Board Advisor to the OVERT STEM initiative and will be attending this year’s awards.
Paul’s involvement reflects a shared commitment to championing underrepresented talent, strengthening industry connections and supporting greater inclusion across the STEM sector.
Paul shares why supporting this initiative matters:
“At TXM Group and SustainRecruit, we recognise that talent exists in every community, but opportunity and pathways are not always available. We’re proud to support the Overt STEM Awards by sponsoring tickets for individuals who may otherwise be unable to attend. Recognition, networking, and visibility can help build successful careers, and we’re committed to helping remove barriers so that more people can access those opportunities and be celebrated for their achievements.”
By supporting access to industry events and professional networks, we hope to help more talented individuals gain recognition, build connections and explore opportunities that can shape their future careers.
Creating Greater Opportunities for STEM Talent
As specialist recruitment professionals, we understand how valuable the right connection or opportunity can be to someone’s career.
Supporting STEM talent goes beyond identifying technical skills. It means recognising potential, encouraging professional development and connecting people with organisations where they can contribute, grow and succeed.
At SustainRecruit, we work closely with businesses and professionals across Technology, Digital, Financial Services and Marketing, helping organisations access specialist talent while supporting individuals at different stages of their careers.
Our involvement in the OVERT STEM Awards reflects our commitment to building meaningful relationships, championing talent and contributing to a more inclusive professional community.
Building a More Inclusive Future for STEM Careers
The OVERT STEM Awards represent more than a celebration of individual achievements. They provide a platform for bringing people together, recognising contributions and encouraging greater representation across the STEM sector.
We’re proud to support an initiative that shares our belief in the importance of recognising potential and creating opportunities for people from all backgrounds.
As part of TXM Group, we look forward to seeing the achievements of this year’s finalists celebrated and the connections that emerge from the event.
Because people change companies, and opportunities can change careers.
