Our client is a leading Australian business, trusted by thousands of customers for years. Renowned for their best-in-class education and online learning, they are at the forefront of digital innovation and technology. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, they are now seeking a Senior Product Owner to join their Channels Team to drive the next iteration of their digital products.
About the Role
As a Senior Product Owner , you will lead a small, high-performing squad (up to 10 direct reports) , overseeing the digital roadmap and ensuring the seamless delivery of best-in-class digital experiences. You will play a pivotal role in driving channel-based product transformations, focusing on customer engagement, conversion, and service enhancement across digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the delivery of digital products, working closely with Product Managers, analysts, designers, and engineers.
- Define and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Translate strategy into actionable backlogs and user stories.
- Drive product excellence through data-driven decision-making and agile best practices.
- Lead backlog prioritisation, feature definition, and iteration planning.
- Define success metrics and user acceptance criteria to ensure high-impact product delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance digital experiences.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Previous and Detailed experience i n digital product management, planning, or development.
- Strong background in Agile product ownership (Scrum certification preferred).
- Ecommerce/ top of funnel B2C experience is preferred
- If you have any payments API integrations experience this would be advantageous
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to read and discuss. Decisions that impact Products on P&L’s and External market factors
- Proven experience in transforming product strategy into design, build, and release roadmaps.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary product teams through all development stages.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using data and feedback to refine digital products.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A passion for digital transformation and user experience.
- Sydney-based role (2-3 days per week in the office).
