Principal Front end Engineer

A leading enterprise SaaS provider, on a mission to make the world a better place through technology. A fast growing B2B SaaS business, as they gear up to rebuild their platform 2.0 and take their business global. They're seeking a seasoned Principal Front end Engineer to spearhead the design and development of their next-gen SaaS platform using Micro Front Ends, React, and modern architecture principles.
 
The Role: 
This is very much a hands on role with no direct reports. Enabling you to set the tone for the rest of the team. You will lead by example, combining technical expertise with leadership skills to guide the development of cutting-edge front-end applications. This role requires a deep understanding of Micro-Front-End Architecture, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade SaaS solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor developers, and ensure technical excellence in building scalable, performant, and maintainable systems.

What You’ll Do:

• Hands-On Development:  Contribute to the codebase, set technical direction, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Next.js.
• Architect & Lead : Shape the front-end of a Greenfield SaaS solution, delivering scalable, multi-tenant systems.
• Build & Innovate : Develop reusable component libraries and design systems from scratch.
• Collaborate & Mentor : Partner with cross-functional teams and guide engineers on front-end best practices.
• Ensure Excellence : Champion high-quality code, testing, and performance optimization.

• Architecture:  Extensive experience designing and implementing micro-front end architecture in a SaaS environment. 
• Expertise : 10+ years in front-end development, with deep knowledge of React, TypeScript, and Micro Front Ends.
• Problem-Solving : Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement robust solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership : Proven experience leading technical projects and mentoring teams.
• Innovation : Strong skills in performance optimization, accessibility, and testing frameworks.
• Vision : A strategic thinker who excels at delivering innovative, scalable solutions.
