Business Analyst (with Testing / Test Management) – Contract

Location: Sydney’s South West (3 days a week)
Duration: 6-month contract (view to permanent)
Rate: Up to $700 per day

We’re looking for a hands-on Business Analyst who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves on the testing side. This is a hybrid BA/Test role working in a small, fast-paced team delivering a new system within an operational technology environment.

This role will suit someone who enjoys owning requirements end-to-end, while also driving UAT and functional testing to ensure quality outcomes.
 
What you’ll be doing:

• Gathering and documenting business and system requirements across a new system implementation
• Working closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into clear, build-ready artefacts
• Owning and progressing work within Azure DevOps (including documentation and tracking)
• Leading and coordinating UAT, including planning, execution and stakeholder engagement
• Writing and executing test cases across functional and manual testing
• Supporting end-to-end testing activities, ensuring coverage and traceability
• Operating within a small team, taking accountability across both BA and testing deliverables
• Working across operational technology environments (e.g. CCTV and physical systems within an airport setting)

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst with strong exposure to testing / test management
• Hands-on experience with:
  • UAT (planning and execution)
  • Functional testing
  • Writing test cases (essential)
  • Manual testing (essential)
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
• Experience working with Azure DevOps
• Comfortable working across technical environments including Windows, Linux and VMware
• Ability to operate autonomously in a small team environment

Nice to have:

• Background in Mining, Retail or Airport/Aviation environments (safety awareness is key)
• Experience working within operational technology or physical system environments (CCTC, Access Control, Lighting Systems, HVAC Etc.)
