ABOUT THE ROLE
I’m recruiting a Senior Project Manager for a insurance firm in Sydney. They are looking for someone to lead a critical data transformation initiative. This is a 6-month contract to design and implement their data foundations platform, working across technology, analytics and business teams to ensure successful delivery.
This is a hands-on PM role where you’ll own the delivery roadmap, manage dependencies, track risk and keep stakeholders aligned throughout the program lifecycle. It’s a high-visibility opportunity to lead strategic infrastructure work for an established organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own end-to-end delivery of data foundations workstreams from scoping through implementation and cutover
- Establish and manage project governance, reporting cadence and decision-making frameworks
- Coordinate with technology teams (data engineers, architects, infrastructure) to track technical delivery against milestones
- Manage stakeholder communications with business owners, executives and technical leads
- Identify and mitigate project risks, issues and blockers before they impact delivery
- Track budget and resource allocation across the program
- Support and resolve escalations as they arise
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You bring 5+ years of project management experience, ideally delivering data infrastructure, data warehousing, analytics platforms or large-scale enterprise transformation programs.
You’re comfortable working in technical environments and can communicate effectively with both technology and business stakeholders. You understand the complexity of data programs – dependency management, technical risk, stakeholder management and scope discipline matter.
You’ve managed teams or vendors, tracked delivery against budgets and timelines, and know how to keep a program moving when things get complex.
Familiarity with data transformation projects, cloud migration programs, or infrastructure delivery in banking, insurance or enterprise tech.
WHAT’S ON OFFER
- 6 month contract at $900-1000 per day (dependent on experience and seniority)
