We’re partnering with a tech-forward financial services business that’s investing heavily in its data capability and looking to bring on a senior leader to own Data Governance across the organisation.
This is a high-impact role with responsibility for shaping, embedding and operating the data governance framework while ensuring data operations are practical, prioritised and aligned to business risk.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning and evolving the Data Governance Framework across data quality, classification, compliance, metadata and regulatory controls
- Leading Data Operations, working closely with enterprise data, technology and business teams
- Driving prioritisation across data initiatives, with a strong focus on risk, regulatory and business-critical data
- Playing a key role in the delivery and uplift of Consumer Data Right (CDR) capabilities
- Influencing senior stakeholders across technology, compliance, security and the wider business
- Leading and developing a small team, while operating hands-on where required
What they’re looking for
- Strong background in data governance, data management and data operations, ideally within financial services
- Experience setting up or uplifting data governance frameworks in complex environments
- Comfortable operating in delivery-focused, fast-moving organisations
- Able to balance strategic thinking with practical execution
- CDR experience is highly regarded, but not essential
