Position Summary
My client is looking for a capable Front End Developer at either the mid or senior level to design, build, and maintain modern web applications across their platform. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role with a strong emphasis on producing clean, maintainable, high-quality user interfaces that integrate reliably with backend services and the broader product ecosystem.
The successful candidate will work primarily within a modern React-based frontend stack, collaborating closely with backend developers, product stakeholders, QA, and DevOps to ship production-ready features. This is a role for someone who takes genuine pride in quality, usability, and execution — not just getting screens across the line.
About the Role
You’ll contribute to the ongoing development of a modern application platform built on React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, and integrations with .NET-based APIs and microservices. You’ll help establish reusable frontend patterns, improve UI consistency, and ensure the user experience is responsive, accessible, and commercially sound.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality web application interfaces using React and TypeScript
- Build reusable UI components and contribute to consistent frontend architecture and patterns
- Translate product requirements, workflows, and mockups into robust, production-ready screens
- Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services
- Collaborate with backend developers to ensure clean contracts between the frontend and server-side systems
- Implement responsive layouts that perform well across desktop and mobile
- Improve application usability, performance, accessibility, and visual consistency
- Contribute to code reviews, estimation, technical discussions, and delivery planning
- Write maintainable, testable code and support automated testing where appropriate
- Help identify and address technical debt within the frontend codebase
- Contribute to design system thinking, documentation, and internal frontend standards
- Work within established delivery practices using Git, pull requests, and structured development workflows
Essential Skills and Experience
- Commercial experience in frontend development using React and TypeScript
- Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS
- Proven ability to build component-based interfaces in a structured and maintainable way
- Experience with Tailwind CSS or comparable modern styling approaches
- Familiarity with a modern frontend toolchain such as Vite
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience working alongside .NET backend teams or in API-driven microservice environments
- Exposure to frontend testing tools such as Vitest, Jest, Playwright, or Cypress
- Experience contributing to a shared component library or design system
- Background in B2B SaaS, workflow platforms, low-code/no-code systems, or enterprise applications
- Familiarity with Azure-hosted environments and modern CI/CD practices
- Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar delivery tooling
- Awareness of application security considerations on the frontend
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; or
- Equivalent commercial experience demonstrating strong capability in modern frontend development
