We’re partnering with a well-established industry super fund known for its stability, strong member focus and collaborative culture. With ongoing growth, they’re looking for a Manager, Financial Accounting to step into a visible leadership role with responsibility across reporting, controls and team performance.
 
Reporting to the CFO, this is a senior position with broad scope and real influence across the business.
The opportunity
This role sits at the centre of the finance function, with accountability for financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and audit, alongside leadership of a small specialist team.
You’ll be responsible for:

• End-to-end statutory reporting across the Trustee, Fund and related entities, including consolidated financial statements
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and evolving regulatory requirements
• Ownership of APRA reporting and maintaining a strong reporting control environment
• Leading external and internal audit processes and managing audit requirements
• Reviewing journals, reconciliations, and reserves across multiple entities
• Oversight of member transactions, investment accounting, pricing, and valuations
• Managing key relationships across administration, investments, and finance to ensure accurate outcomes
• Preparing reporting and insights for Board and Committee forums

Alongside this, you’ll lead and develop a capable team — setting clear expectations, supporting development and maintaining high standards.
What you’ll bring

• Proven experience in a Financial Accounting Manager (or equivalent) role, ideally within superannuation
• Strong technical expertise across statutory reporting and APRA requirements
• Experience managing audits and working within complex, regulated environments
• Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and hold a team to account
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across multiple functions
• CA or CPA qualification
