Business Analyst – Finance Migration | Life Insurance | 6-Month Contract

The Role:

A growing challenger in the Australian life insurance space is looking for an experienced Finance Business Analyst to support a finance system migration on a 6-month contract. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, delivery leads and vendors to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and drive measurable outcomes from day one.

This is a Finance BA role – not a Tech BA – so we’re after someone with strong finance domain expertise who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading requirements gathering workshops and stakeholder discussions
  • Analysing and documenting finance processes, requirements and solution options
  • Supporting the migration to D365 across finance functions
  • Partnering with delivery teams and vendors through implementation
  • Supporting testing, validation and QA activities
  • Identifying risks, dependencies and process improvement opportunities

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven Business Analyst experience (3+ years), with a finance focus
  • Life insurance industry experience (essential)
  • Hands-on D365 experience (essential)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation
  • Experience supporting finance migrations or transformation projects
  • Comfortable working at pace and driving outcomes independently
