Data Engineer – 6 Month Fix Term Contract

The role

Joining the Data Engineering function, you’ll take real ownership of the data platform, not just tickets on a board. That means pipelines, data lake and warehouse, lakehouse ingestion, integration with reporting and operational systems, and everything in between.

You’ll work in a Scrum team, contribute to CI/CD improvement, and collaborate across product, design, and QA to deliver high-quality, well-tested solutions that are scalable without being overcomplicated.

What you’ll be doing

  • Designing, building, and maintaining high-quality data pipelines backed by automated test cases
  • Applying data governance and security practices from the ground up, not as an afterthought
  • Troubleshooting with a root-cause mindset — stepping back to understand the broader impact of fixes
  • Sharing knowledge through demos, brown bags, PRs, and documentation
  • Participating in interviews and onboarding to help build a high-performing team

– Salary: $170-$190K + Super – pro-rata for 6 months.
